Identifying user pain points and user unmet needs based on interviews, focus group interviews, contextual inquiry, and so on. Generating creative UX concepts for devices and services using a variety of user experience research methods and design methodologies.

Development

Much experience of developing prototypes and information architectures with windows, mobile, tablet using a variety of development tools, prototyping tools and wireframing tools.

UX Design

Much experience of Wireframing, UX Concept designs, Service designs across multiple device platforms based on user-centered design methodologies. GUI design skills with Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.

Channeling Service

Samsung Electronics

Role: UX Concept Design / Information Architecture / Wireframe

This project was location based push service. I generated initial concept of service. This service’s concept consists of zone channeling, human channeling, and device channeling. Zone channeling means location based push service including pushing ads, coupon, media, and information. Human channeling means that people can make virtual group with their friends near by. In the virtual group, people can share contents easily. Device channeling allows smart phone to control the other devices including television, DVD, and other nearby devices. I also developed information architecture and wireframe in this project.

Role: Interaction Design / Information Architecture

This project name was shape touch interaction. I designed interaction in this project. Shape touch means that the mobile device recognizes touch shape pattern. In this project, I designed palm swipe, palm pause, palm search, twist, and seesaw interaction. Palm swipe was used by getting a screen shot intuitively like as copy machine. Palm pause is to pause music player, palm search which was not adopted but it seems like hands pattern when people find something on their smartphone. Twist interaction was used by image rotation. Finally seesaw interaction was used by navigation and zoom in/out.

Digital Television UI

Role: Information Architecture

This project was to improving new brand image for digital television. Furthermore, it had a meaning that was the user interface integration of digital television, digital camera, and digital camcorder. I developed information architecture and wireframe for digital television.

Smart School

Samsung Electronics

Role: UX Research / Interaction Design / Product Design

This project was to supporting future education in the school environment. We designed interaction between tablet and interactive white board and developed information architecture for both. There are several products that we invented including BUMBLEBEE (A cradle for education materials, which is quite similar OHP), Contents oriented remote controller, and Smart band. All of interactions with those devices were considered by educational purposes and classroom environment. BUMBLEBEE is for showing educational contents without any settings. Contents oriented remote controller is to control the contents on smart board or PC without approaching a smart board or a PC. Smart band is for checking attendance or creating groups in a class room.
